After three weeks in India, we’re heading home to Vancouver today, carrying gifts for everyone, especially grandchildren, who will be waiting eagerly for our arrival.
It is always a little like Christmas Day when we arrive home from any trip. Always a fun, joyful reunion.
But before we leave Delhi, it’s fun to look back over the last few weeks and think about the 10 best moments.
It’s an impossible task, of course; there were so many wonderful moments, but here are 10 that I keep thinking about, in no particular order. They were all equally terrific moments.
To read more about any of these highlights, look over the individual posts published here during the trip.
No.1: Palace Garden, New Delhi

No. 2: Rickshaw ride through Old Delhi

No. 3: Train ride to Chandigarh

No. 4: Chandigarh rock garden

No. 5: Taj Mahal, Agra

No. 6: Amber Fort, Jaipur

No. 7: Floating palace, Udaipur

No. 8: Tea hills of Munnar, Kerala

No. 9: Houseboat on Kerala backwaters

No. 10: Kovalam beach resort, Kerala

Steve,
I’ve loved your posts and photos from India. But most of all, I love your confession that “It’s so nice to be back in Canada”. People do not realize the good luck (and good management required) we have here at home. While people gripe about taxation (the price of civilization I believe) and the bureaucracy attached to our decision making, it seems superior to what others are condemned to live with.
Take care and thanks again.
