In Ljubljana, we started the last day of our tour with a walk around the old town centre.
We walked to the Tromostovje, the Triple Bridges, which connects the old town with its historic, medieval buildings on one side of the river with the modern city of Ljubljana on the other.
We were surprised by the cleanliness of the town centre and the beauty and diversity of the architecture with its pleasant mix of baroque and Renaissance buildings.
We took the funicular up to the castle and then came back down and walked around the lovely market under way in the square below.
From there, we wandered back into the old town and along the banks of the river where we found lots of very inviting restaurants.
On the river, there are boats carrying passengers on a sightseeing tour.
But the charm of the city is very much based on the banks of the rivers in the many cafes and restaurants that create a relaxed and happy atmosphere for all ages.
After shopping for gifts to carry home, we returned to our hotel where we got ready for our farewell dinner. Before the dinner, two of our group, David and Zhen Zi Stumpo, again entertained us all with a lovely dance, this time a Paso Doble, a gripping gypsy dance full of passion.
It has been a marvellous tour with many many more magical moments than were recorded here.
But I think you have an idea of what we got up to and how much fun it was.
Our next tour is a river cruise on the Danube, starting in Prague and going to Vienna, in May next year.
