Tale of Two Tours: Sicily-Malta & Southern England/Channel Islands

0

Today, I’m pleased to announce two unique international garden tours – a 15-day one to Sicily and Malta in September, and a 14-day trip to Southern England and the Channel Islands in May, 2023.

They are both fabulous. You may like one more than the other, although some people have told me they intend to do both.

Yes, the Sicily-Malta tour is indeed being done on short notice, but we decided there is no time like the present, so, let’s seize the day and make hay while the sun shines.

And I know many of you are very keen to experience the exotic culture, scenery and climate of Sicily-Malta sooner than later.

So let’s do it.

Syracuse

Detailed, day-by-day itineraries for both tours are available upon request. Just email me at swhysall@hotmail.com

You’ll find every detail contained in the itineraries.  I think you’ll be astonished by the diversity, quality and content of both tours.

I encourage you to look up more information on the internet about the  hotels, destinations and planned activities. I’m sure you’ll be as excited and impressed as I am.

The Sicily-Malta Tour is designed to explore two distinct and beautiful Mediterranean islands – the exotic west, south and east side of Sicily, starting in Palermo,  and the beautiful and historic island of Malta.

Taormina

The reason for the timing for this tour (Sept. 18 to Oct. 2) is to take advantage of the weather at that time which is said to be perfect and not as scorchingly hot as in it is in summer.

I’ve been assured by all my contacts there that this is indeed the perfect time to visit, both from a tourism and temperature perspective.

Modica

The tour starts Sept 18 in Palermo and will visit Agrigento, Syracuse, Catania, Taormina and many other popular towns and destination including the famous volcano at Mt. Etna.

In Malta, Valletta will be our base from where we will explore the rest of the island. Valletta is where the tour will wrap up Oct. 2.

Price for this 15-day adventure is $7,494 per person double occupancy; $9,745 single occupancy.

Gold Hill, Shaftesbury

The Southern England-Channel Islands Tour planned from May 14 to 27 will be an exploration of what I consider the heart of old England.

In fact, it will be a journey into the core of where all of England began  – in Alfred the Great’s Wessex – and all that is associated with that region, including beautiful, picturesque villages and town, the Jurassic Coast plus all the fabulous literary and cultural connections of the area.

Sark

The Channel Islands – Guernsey, Jersey and Sark – are exquisite in their own right and have terrific cultural and historical associations, not least of which include novelist Victor Hugo and zookeeper and naturalist Gerald Durrell, of the Durrells of Corfu fame.

Lyme Regis

The Southern England tour will start in London on May 14 before moving west into the best of England’s countryside in the county of Dorset.

From there, we will move to the Channel Islands for a fun exploration of Jersey, Guernsey and Sark, three islands that have a unique English-French atmosphere.

The price for the Southern England Tour is $7,794 per person for double occupancy; $9,218 fir singe occupancy.

Jurassic Coast

I could go on and on here, but I think the itineraries speak for themselves.  They contain much more than I can say here. Request a copy by emailing me at swhysall@hotmail.com.  I am, of course, as always, happy to answer questions.  I see these tours as a wonderful opportunity for us all to reconnect and have fun travelling together in a safe and well organized way with likeminded people.

I promise you that your experiences will leave you with lovely, golden memories that will be precious and unforgettable.  Yes, these are trips of a lifetime.

But I also like the words in Bonnie Raitt’s song, Nick of Time: “Life gets kinda precious when there is less of it to waste.”

I think either of these tours would be an excellent use of your time.

You can book your place for one or both tours immediately.

The Sicily Tour, being the first adevnture, is our priority at the moment in terms of booking.
